Add-On '13 Finalists Present Their Work in Wellfleet Forum
26th after an introduction, and brief explanation of Wellfleet's
Accessory Dwelling bylaw, the finalists explained their designs for
Phase One of the Add-on'13 competition. A capacity crowd of interested
Wellfleetians raised important questions. The possibilities and pitfalls
of building AADUs in town were debated.
the finalists were in the midst of their artist/scholar residencies in
the Hatch Cottage and the Kugel/Gips House (the other three teams will
have theirs in September). Finalists
will now begin work on Phase Two, which will include more developed
drawings, a model of their designs, and a proposal for a mini-cluster of
3 units. The final jury will select the winning team on August 13, 2013.
